This is our annual paint up, clean up, and fix up day at the historic station. Again, over 30,000
people visit this site every year. If it wasn’t for the efforts to maintain our pride and joy attraction
it would surely deteriorate with this many tourists visiting such a small space. The camper,
grounds and building inside and out needs a thorough cleaning. Some painting and repairs will
also be required. Lunch will again be furnished by the Route 66 Association.
It is not necessary but it is helpful if I know how many will be attending. If you can, call and let
me know if you are planning to attend any or all events. John – 815-458-6616.
We need to support our various attractions on Route 66. These sites provide memories that last
a lifetime for our visitors from around the world. For us, it is the camaraderie of working and
playing together that brings our sense of good will, wellbeing and pride to all of us.
