Route 66 Tin Can Caravan
Are you looking for a unique, ultimate Route 66 experience? Then look no further than the Route 66 Tin Can Caravan! What's a Tin Can Caravan? I'm glad you asked!
A Tin Can Caravan is a merry band of travelers who, led by singer-songwriter, Fred Eaglesmith, travels to a variety of locations, in a variety of vehicles, touring the countryside, accompanied by live musicians along the way.
This year, there's a Route 66 Tin Can Caravan scheduled for September 13-30, from Chicago to L.A. You can choose your mode of transportion as you travel along with the caravan, for a few days or for the whole eighteen. The caravan is led by a wi-fi equipped motorcoach which includes all the comforts of home. Or you can choose to join the caravan in your own vehicle.
However, whenever you join the caravan, this sounds like a blast!
The tour provides an itinerary which includes stops at Route 66 attractions along the way. Included among them are dinner at the Berghoff, the Gemini Giant in Wilmington, our very own Route 66 Association of Illinois Museum and Hall of Fame, as well as the Pontiac-Oakland Museum, lunch at the Palms Grill in Atlanta, IL and a stop at Henry's Ra66it Ranch in Staunton, IL. Many additional exciting stops in every state through which Route 66 passes are included as well.
We welcome the Tin Can Caravaners - hope you have a wonderful experience traveling the Mother Road! Let us know how your trip was - we'd love to post your stories and photos!
