R.I.P. Rita Erickson

We are sad to report that Hall of Fame Member Rita Erickson, 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 7th. Rita was the owner/operator of the Odell Shelter for 42 years and a proud member of our Hall of Fame.

Rita is survived by 10 children, 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren! She had been living at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac. Rita's funeral mass was Saturday at 10 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Odell, IL.
