Pontiac Walldogs to Hold Mural Painting Workshop

The Pontiac Office of Tourism and Diaz Sign Art will be sponsoring a workshop for anyone interested in helping to paint the 17 outdoor murals planned for the downtown area. The Walldogs, a group of more than 100 sign painters and muralists will be in town during the four days of Pontiac’s Summer Bash Festival, June 25, 26, 27 & 28, to paint these outdoor works of art.

Volunteers who would like to help with the mural painting projects are asked to attend the Saturday, June 6th workshop. Bill and Jane Diaz will be providing instruction on mural painting techniques, and other helpful information. The workshop will begin at 1:00 PM and end at 3:00 PM.

Interested volunteers should call the tourism office at (815) 844-5847 to get additional details, location information, and to make reservations to attend the workshop.
