New Route 66 News Editor
Hi, Route 66 Association of Illinois fans! It’s me, website Editor Gina with a very exciting announcement. I am proud to announce that I’ve been chosen to take the reigns as Editor of the Association Newsletter, The 66 News, which you eagerly await by mail.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the previous Editors, Kathy Miller and Jim Jones for their dedication and tireless efforts for many years creating an informative and enjoyable Newsletter. I have some mighty big shoes to fill!
But fill them I will! I have some ideas I’m anxious to implement and I look forward to jumping into the process effectively immediately. Right off the bat, I’d like to invite you, one and all, to submit content for publication in the Newsletter. I want to be able to rely and depend upon all you dedicated roadies, officers, board members and Association members alike to keep the stream of information and stories from the road pouring in so I can disperse it through the 66 News. To that end, I have some plans to make that process easy and convenient. Stay tuned for details...
In the coming weeks, I’ll be calling upon you for your opinions and sharing my vision for the future of the 66 News. I look forward to making a lot of new acquaintances and friends as I assume these new responsibilities.
I want to thank the board who approved me for this position. My aim is to prove that your decision is well-founded by exceeding your expectations and creating a Newsletter that will make a statement about our Association and our dedication to Route 66.
I welcome your Route 66 news, stories, events and photos! Effective immediately, please send any and all Newsletter submissions directly to me at:
