Illinois Route 66 Mining Museum

A very exciting attraction is coming to Godley, IL - the Illinois Route 66 Mining Museum!

According to a press release from Godley, IL, the museum is made possible through a joint partnership between the grass roots group known as the GR3C, the Village of Godley and our very own Route 66 Association of Illinois Preservation Committee.

The project has organized a Clean Up Day for Saturday, March 26. All are welcome to participate in this effort to help this project come to fruition and celebrate the proud mining heritage of the area.

To volunteer for Clean Up Day or for more information about the Museum, call John Weiss, Preservation Chairman, at 815-458-6616.
