Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket Celebrating 66th Anniversary!

Route 66 Hall of Famer, Del Rhea's Chicken Basket, in Willowbrook, IL, is celebrating their 66th year in business this July.

In celebration of this monumental anniversary, Del Rhea's Chicken Basket will be hosting many different types of entertainment throughout the month of July.

Some of their featured events and specials will be:

• 4th of July Chicken Eating Contest - Our 1st annual Fried Chicken Eating Contest will take place on July 4th at 1:00 PM. Please register by June 30. There is a $6.60 registration fee and registration is limited to the first 20 people. 1st Prize - $66 cash; 2nd Prize - $25 Gift Certificate
• Stories of Route 66 by Author John Weiss - July 10th and July 24th from 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• $6.60 Chicken Baskets (dine in) - Wednesdays
• Fowl Costume Contest and Pet Parade - Sunday, July 15 at 11:00 AM. Best-dressed dog that resembles a chicken will win Dinner for 4 at Del Rhea's Chicken Basket
• Art Sale & Charity Auction - 66 signed and numbered prints of our 66th anniversary artwork will be sold for $66 each with Route 66 artist Jerry McClanahan and Patrick Rhea signing (Prints # 1/66 and #66/66 will be auctioned off for charity)
• “The Ides of March” will perform a free show at Del Rhea's Chicken Basket on Saturday, July 28th at 7:00 PM. Brought to You By Dell Rhea’s Chicken Basket and Willowbrook Ford.
