Chris will be doing a grass-roots promotional tour for his book, including a visit to the Route 66 Association of Illinois Museum and Hall of Fame, located at 110 W Howard St in Pontiac. We'll update you here on the website as we learn the specific days and times when you might meet the author in person.

Chris is passionate about preserving the memories of forgotten places through photography - Polaroid photography in particular. Read about his mission on his website, Fading Nostalgia. Lucky for us, he has turned his camera and interest upon Route 66. He details his passion for the Mother Road in Why We Love Route 66.

His recently published book covers Route 66 from Illinois to Santa Monica, California and features 275 Polaroid photographs, 23 of which were taken here in our own Illinois section. It also includes Chris' own stirring stories chronicling his adventures and emotions upon traveling the Mother Road. Learn about the Making of the Book from Chris' own perspective.

Our friend and fellow roadie, Ron Warnick over at Route 66 News wrote a fabulous, comprehensive review of Chris book which captures its spirit and enthusiasm.

We'll be including an exclusive interview with Chris Robleski in the Spring, 2012 issue of our Association Newsletter, the 66 News. You'll get to know even more about the man behind the lens! Make sure you're an Association member so you'll be sure to receive your newsletter!
