Airbrush Art School Opens in Pontiac
Thanks to Ellie Alexander of Pontiac Tourism for providing the following information:
The Grand Opening Ceremonies for the Dongbai International Airbrush Art School located at 425 West Madison Street in Pontiac, Illinois, were held on April 14th at 3:30 PM. A ribbon-cutting was held with the Mayor, members of the Pontiac City Council, Pontiac Tourism, The Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce, and Pontiac P.R.O.U.D. in attendance.
The Dongbai Art School will be operated under the direction of Chinese artist, Tang Dongbai. Mr. Tang has been in Pontiac for several months working with city officials to open his new school. Tang is an internationally recognized master of airbrush painting techniques. He has operated an art school in Beijing, China for many years and is confident that his Pontiac school will allow him to expand the pool of potential students who wish to learn his techniques. The first class of students began their studies on Sunday, April 15th at the new school.
At the school, students can study the craft of airbrush painting at three levels; beginner, advanced, and master. Students who come to the school from other locations will be staying at local hotels during their course of study.
