Painting Party at Odell Standard Gas Station

The Odell Standard Gas Station needs some repainting. The winter weather really took its toll. Lots of sections are peeling off. As we all know, maintenance of preservation projects is extremely important. Tourism season and the Red Carpet Corridor event, May 2 & 3, will soon begin.

Preservation Workday

Touch-up paint work at the Meramec Cavern advertising on the Barn in Cayuga, Illinois (just north of Pontiac).
Ladders and scaffolding may be needed. Call Joe Gniadek for details (630) 947-2354.
If you’ve never volunteered to help out on a Preservation project, you are missing a lot of fun.
For this project we’ll need help with the horses that live on the farm, so if you’re good with either a brush or a horse, we need you!
Route 66 Festival - Chain of Rocks Bridge
Submitted by The Admin on July 28, 2008 - 10:16am.On October 4th Trailnet is having a Route 66 Festival at the Chain of Rocks Bridge!
There will be an actual car show on the bridge, and entertainment on both sides of the bridge, as well as a motorcycle show, vendors, and a sock hop and movie at sundown! It will be a great day.
Our Association will be manning a table on the Illinois side, and there will be special room rates available at several hotels for any of our members who would like to attend.

Due to flooding the location of the picnic has changed - Get Details!
We'll be setting up at 10am, cold pop, water, buns and meat will be provided by the association. Please bring a dish to share. Our chef will be Bill Przybylski.
We will have entertainment, games a raffle, and all members and their families are urged to come out and have some fun.
