Spooky Fun Along Route 66

In the "spirit" of the Halloween season, we'd like to bring some spooky fun along Route 66 to your attention.

Spirits of Tours/Timeless Presentations bill themselves as, "The" Central Illinois Historic Entertainment Company. We bring history ALIVE!"

In fact, they're having an event this Saturday, October 8th at The Mill in Lincoln, IL:

SAT 10/08: THE MILL LIVE! GHOST INVESTIGATION! In Lincoln IL! Join the Spirits of Bloomington team as we return to an old haunt. Who has been disturbed during the renovation? 9:30pm $20

Workday at the Mill Scheduled

Attention all Route 66 volunteers. There is a work day scheduled on October 15th, 2011 at the historic Mill in Lincoln, Illinois at 9:30 AM. The motto for Illinois Preservation members is, "We work for food". So the famous Schnitzel sandwiches will be served. That's better then money!!!!!

Tickets for Vermillion Players' Musical Revues Now on Sale

Thanks to Pontiac Tourism for supplying us with the following press release:

Tickets for the November 25, 26, and 27 “Dinner and a Show” performances by the Vermillion Players went on sale today at Pontiac City Hall. All shows will be staged at the Pontiac Elks Lodge, #1019, located west of Pontiac on Route 116. Ticket prices for the Friday and Saturday dinner shows are set at $25 per person. On Sunday, a dessert buffet will be served during the intermission of the show and tickets are $15 per person. The November shows are a collaborative effort with Vermillion Players, the Pontiac Dancenter, and Pontiac Tourism working together.
